I don't think either of us dreamed that our senior pictures would NOT be 'single' pictures. There are so many fun packages in life that we are getting to open together. :))
I told you last time that I'd tell you more of our story later.
Aaah, we've gone on for 2+ hours before sharing all the amazing things God has done for us. But I'll give you just an outline for now.
Ian & I never officially "met". They just showed up at church one day and our families became really close very quickly. :)) I loved his mom right away and we formed a close friendship. However, I avoided Ian at all costs for years because I thought his mom had her eye on us and wanted us to be a thing eventually. I thought that was awkward, so I never said hello to him, looked him in the eye, or was generally friendly to him in any way. XD XD
Meanwhile, he, at first, thought I was 19 and in a relationship with Daeus. (Haha!!) When he eventually found out that I was around his age, and Daeus was... my brother, he started to like me. :) After God saved him, he started praying earnestly for me for years. But we never talked. :))
In 2021, I read a book that convicted me about the way I was treating him... essentially, I was disobeying many commands in Scripture to "love the brotherhood," "show perfect courtesy to all people," and "love one another fervently with a pure heart." I was not treating Ian like someone God had died for.
So, even though at the time I had no interest in him, I repented and asked God to help me treat him more like I thought Jesus would treat him. We struck up a friendship. And as soon as we did, my eyes were immediately opened to many things I had unconsciously observed about his character all those years, and what a godly young man Ian had become.
I got out a box of prayers I had been writing for my future husband and read through them all. Huh. Uncanny resemblance... :))
More to come later!! :))
For now, enjoy our senior photos! :D :D Once again, I set the camera settings & posed us and Daeus snapped the shutter button. :) (Thanks, brother Daeus!! :D:D)
Test shots...

It's my favorite face!! :D :D ^^

Okay, story time! :D
A day or two before we took the photos, Ian stepped on a bee. XD And it swelled up like a football! It provided us a nice bit of time to spend together while I helped him doctor it, but it also hurt his foot, poor guy, and made him limp. His foot was still too big to fit into his shoes by the time we had to take these photos, so we just decided to both go barefoot. :)) His boss already laughs at us for going barefoot all the time, so I was a little hesitant to show him the photos at first. :D But it was totally worth it. If you're a barefoot person, you know. :))

May God be exalted,
~ Kina
P.S. These photos made our invitations come to life!! :)) Thanks again, Daeus!! :))
