The Principal Thing

All the people who have it are Christians.

Not all Christians have it. You can spend a lifetime searching for riches and miss it. You can spend a lifetime searching for it, and gain great riches. It is the opposite of foolishness, but so much more. You can have all the knowledge in the world, and still lack it. This word influences every aspect of your life. It is the difference between wicked and righteous. All the things you may desire cannot compare with it. It cannot be dug up.

It cannot be deposited in a bank account or stuffed into a piggy bank.

Some peoples’ mouths are filled with it. Fools think they have it.

It is too lofty for them.

It is a tree of life.

You cannot see it, but you can hear it if you incline your ear to it.

All who know it will tell you it is a path of pleasantness and peace, though from the outside it looks undesirably narrow.

If you have it, you will understand your way. But how can you?

It is, like honey, sweet to your soul.If you have found it, there is a prospect and hope.

A fool searches the ends of the earth and does not find it.

You have to intentionally turn away from it in order to not get it.

It is within everyone’s grasp.

It calls aloud outside and raises its voice in the open squares. It begins with fear and ends in glory.

'Tis despised.

Left to yourself, you cannot find it.

While it can be gained by just simply asking the right One for it, you must desire it more than anything else in order to attain it. By it was the earth founded. By it were the heavens established.

By it is a house built. It is THE principal thing.

Length of days is in its right hand. In its left hand riches and honor.

It preserves, keeps, promotes, honors, and crowns you if you love, exalt, and embrace her.

There is a storehouse of it somewhere. It is better than rubies!

Where does it live? Try prudence.

It is strong.

Fools die for lack of it.

If you have it, it traverses your paths in order to fill your treasuries.

However, its fruit is better than gold and choice silver.

Happy are the people who have it.

Do not forget it!

Keep it!

Pay attention!

Keep it so close to you that you could say to it, "You are my sister."

The righteous feed it to you. It humbles you and lifts you up higher than your imagination. If you scoff, though you seek it diligently, you will not find it. If you understand, it is easy to you.

Gold can be laughed at in the sight of it.

You daily hold the purchase price for it in your hand… yet do you have a heart for it?

'Tis a flowing brook.

If you love your soul, you will acquire it.

Though you acquire it, you cannot use it against the Lord.

If you have it, treasure it - do not spill it in the hearing of fools, though they spout out their folly.

Buy it! Do not sell it!

It comes to you in the form of FEAR, a ROD, a BOOK, and THE LIPS OF AN OLD MAN.

I wish I could describe it to you.

Wisdom Is The Principal Thing

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

~ James 1:5

For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

~ Proverbs 2:6

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. ~ Proverbs 9:10

...Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
